Observations

Friday May 2nd, 2014 -Day 11

Today we skyped with Mrs. McClure's Grade 2 class. They were trying different experiments with their beans which we thought was cool. We decided to check out each other Wiki's to see what the other class is doing. We shared with them the awesomeness of Go Noodle and they are going to try it and let us know if they like it.
Our beans are growing in the dirt. It has been rainy here in Ottawa so we haven't been getting a lot of sunshine.

Tuesday April 29th, 2014 - Day 8

Today we added to our journals and measured our beans. Our bean have grown huge roots! We decided to plant them in dirt so they can grow into plants.

Thursday April 24th, 2014 - Day 3

Today we skyped with Mrs. Beck's class in New Jersey about our Full of Beans Global Project. They had some predictions about our beans. They planted their beans in bags so that it would keep the moisture in. We are going to skype with them later to see the difference between our bean planted in cups and theirs in bags.

I've also updated the skype map. Check out all the places we have skyped with.

Wednesday April 23rd, 2014 -Day Two

We watched Eric Carle's "The Tiny Seed" and made some connections to our project. The book showed us how plants grow (JS). So our bean is going to grow big (RB). It will grow leaves (KA). Maybe our beans will grow flowers (LA) or maybe it will grow beans (MM).

Tuesday April 22nd, 2014 - Day One

Hi, It's Mrs. Bowker's Grade 1 class at Agincourt Rd Public School in Ottawa, ON, Canada. We planted our beans today! We put our beans in paper towel in a cup that had our names on it. We soaked our paper towels in water and put our cups in the window to get some sunshine.

Here are our predictions:
